Well, there must be better feelings

Than empty and alone

But I know that I’ll feel better

When you get home

 

That moaning that I’m hearing

Ain’t from the morning dove

I guess this is the price I pay

For being in love

 

The way that I’ve been lately

Is the worst that I have been

But it’ll all be worth it

When we’re together again

 

I’m glad that I’m lonely

Glad that I’m lonely

I’m lonely but only for you

I’m glad that I love you

So I’ll keep thinking of you

And feel just so happy that I’m blue

 

It used to be so easy

Living like a tramp

I never thought that I’d become

The missin’ kind of man

 

But now when you leave me

I don’t know what to do

I think about you coming home

And wish it would come true

 

Tears on my pillow

Just had time to dry

You say to wait another day

It makes me want to cry

 

But I’m glad that I’m lonely

Glad that I’m lonely
