“Something Beautiful” lyrics

Something Beautiful
By Larry Krone

Sometimes I have to wonder
Why I ever try romance
By the time that it’s over
I wish I never took the chance

And I try to remember
All the good things I was thinkin’
Then I get the blues and hit the booze
And dull the pain with drinkin’

And somewhere in the smokey bars
The whiskey and the steel guitars
Shine through, and get me feeling better

If there’s a god in the night
He helps me see the light
And realize I’m happy that I met her

(chorus)
There’s something beautiful
If I can look beyond the sadness
And it makes me feel all right
To find the goodness in the badness

She left me
But I can still find peace of mind
There’s something beautiful
Just knowing she was mine

Sometimes it’s such a struggle
Just to get up out of bed
All the sorrow in the world
Keeps pounding in my head

And I am ashamed to say
I wonder why I’m livin’
All the pain won’t go away
Too much badness for forgivin’

But then there comes a sweet surprise
When I look into a baby’s eyes
And see there’s always hope

And when the morning sun appears
I squint my eyes and through my tears
How beautiful! I can see a rainbow

(chorus)
There’s something beautiful
I can see beyond the sadness
And it makes me feel all right
To find the goodness in the badness

Tonight I’m crying
But in the morning I’ll be grinnin’
There’s something beautiful
In each day’s new beginnin’

Tonight I’m crying
But in the morning I’ll be grinnin’
There’s something beautiful
In each day’s new beginnin’
