“The Hospital Where I was Born” lyrics

The Hospital Where I Was Born

A ride on a bus

Fourteen of us

On a tour of Chicago, Illinois

Then a surprise

Brings tears to my eyes

The hospital where I was born

I’d heard of the place

And I own an ashtray

They produced before smoking was abhorred

Hip hip hooray

We all cheer for the day

And the hospital where I was born

Have you ever had a vision

Brought on by a place

You’re outside of your body and you can

look in your own face

As a baby brand new

So tiny and cute

With no notion of what lies in store

How hard life will be

And all the joy he‘s gonna see

Beyond that hospital where he was born

The hospital where I was born
