What You’ve Given to Me (for Glenis)

The sky is blue with streaks of green

Is it day or night?  What did you mean?

On the left you put a big palm tree

And its shape is round with rainbow leaves

At the base of the tree in orange and red

A bouquet of flowers drawn from your head

In baby pink next to the tree are two shapes that are meant

To be flamingos with their long necks bent

When I wake up, your painting is the first thing that I see

That’s what you’ve given to me
